Subject: View is east, taken from the Police Headquarters building on Dwyer Street. It reveals how crowded police operations had become. The two-story Annex and garage building sits at the east end of Dolorosa Street. Yturri Street (also known as Yturri Alley) runs south (one way), from Market Street for the length of the station and intersects with Dolorosa (also one way-west) at the garage door. A light- colored car can be seen turning from Yturri onto Dolorosa. That same location and same sharp turn will be preserved in later years when the San Antonio Public Library is constructed on the site and a “from your car” night depository had many a tardy borrower making that turn.
