Subject: Photo crop of Main Plaza. View is SSW and elevated, taken, almost certainly, from the Bexar County Courthouse, showing along Soledad, the south elevation of the Smith Block, “Fatal Corner,” the south side of Main Plaza and west along Dwyer. The photograph shows no three-story buildings on the south side of the plaza. The Bexar County Courthouse (Soledad street) is finished in 1872. By 1876 several three-story buildings are under construction or finished on the plaza. Photograph carries a caption of MAIN PLAZA.
