View is WSW, probably taken from the Elite Hotel, showing the plaza park, the hack stand, San Fernando Cathedral with both towers (1902) and the Frost National Bank building (becomes a national bank in 1899). The clock tower observatory and the south conical tower roofs of the San Antonio City Hall can be seen in the background. The plaza would appear to be paved with some type of block and it appears to have been raining.
