Subject: Photo crop of Main Plaza. The crop is a piece of much larger panoramic photograph. The view is WSW across the plaza showing San Fernando Church and Carolan’s Auction House. T.C. Frost was not a partner until 1867. This photograph could pre-date that event. Dating is taken from “A Century on Main Plaza: A History of the First National Bank,” by Herbert M. Mason Jr. and Frank W. Brown. The equipment in use for this photograph was advanced enough to keep almost all the dogs in focus. This would seem to indicate post-civil war equipment. It could be as much as 17 years older.
