Subject: Photo crop of Kampmann Block. View is ENE and elevated, showing the Kampmann block office building and bank. Opened in December 1884. The first floor was the Lockwood and Kampmann bank. The building had the first passenger elevator in the city, its own fire suppression system, three time-lock safes, one set into concrete in the basement. At various times the block provided offices for both the City Hall, Bexar County and the District Courts.
