Subject: Photo crop of Military Plaza. View is ENE from a point in the plaza showing Hord’s Hotel. Completed in 1877, Hord’s was located on the east side of the plaza along the north side of Dolorosa Street and had entrances on both Military and Main Plazas. It covered about 40 per cent of the block immediately south of San Fernando Cathedral. Became Southern Hotel in 1884.
