Subject: Photo crop of Military Plaza. View is SSE and elevated. Taken from City Hall and showing the Southern Hotel and the 2nd major renovation/addition to the Bexar County Courthouse (1926-1928). Notice how tight the three cars are parked at the curb in front of the Southern. Almost certainly a hack stand. The clear space around the fire hydrant would indicate diligent enforcement. West of the courthouse at the intersection of Dwyer and Main Plaza, the French Building is still present. It will be razed and the new Police and Health Department Building erected by late 1927.
