Subject: Photo crop of the SOUTHWESTERN INSANE ASYLUM, BEXAR COUNTY, TEXAS. View is WSW across open ground. Taken from a point along or close to S New Braunfels showcasing the asylum. Later photographs after the 1912 expansion show the main building having lost its bell tower and trees and grass reaching to New Braunfels.  Established in 1892 and eventually being named the Texas State Hospital. The facility has maintained its original location at S. New Braunfels and Pecan Valley Drive.
