Subject: Photo crop of a street scene. View is east and elevated along Presidio (W. Commerce Street) and the north side of Main Plaza. Taken from, almost certainly, Frederick Kalteyer’s Drug store on Military Plaza, showcasing Presidio and the north side of Main Plaza. The three story Dauenhauer Building (1877) sits at the NE corner of Main Plaza with its north façade on Commerce Street. It does not appear that the Terrell Block on the north side of Presidio has yet begun construction (begins 1881).
